Whilst on expedition I will be living with my team and visiting several camps which are managed by Camps International, this will be fantastic as I will get to see different parts of the country. I am told that whichever camp you wake up in, you will have amazing views and hear lots of noises from all the different wildlife around, which is really exciting.

The camp staff are on hand to guide us through the projects that we will be working on. It is unlikely that we will see all of these projects though to the end, but our participation in helping these communities with their long-term goals is what counts.

The journey getting to each project will be exciting and varied: when travelling by vehicle we could be spotting wildlife, or chatting to new neighbours in the village or trying to avert a stampede of excited children as we enter the school playground!

The food is varied and rich in flavour and you get a chance to try out some of the local specialities - I'm really looking forward to this bit too.

After a hard day of project work we are able to chill out and relax a little – this could involve a game of football with the locals, joining in with some singing and dancing or even attempting to do a little laundry hand-washing!
