This life-changing experience will take me to South America for one month, where I will spend time in different areas of the high Andes of Peru. It will allow me to work on important projects to improve the standard of living for rural communities as well as take part in ongoing conservation activities to protect valuable and sensitive ecological areas. To end the trip, there will be a breath-taking trek to the iconic Machu Picchu and a visit to Lake Titicaca – I may even learn a bit of Spanish along the way!

 

However, in order for me to go on this amazing adventure, I need to raise £3890, and will be doing so by conducting various fundraising events and activities throughout the forthcoming months. I feel thrilled and excited to have been offered an opportunity such as this to help make a difference to the lives of others less fortunate than ourselves, in another land. I know that it is going to be hard work, but I am looking forward to the challenge.
